The Orpheus

Fidorous’s boat for hunting sharks that contains a very strong conceptual loop (Raw_Shark_Boat_Diagram.pdf). Conceived as a collective idea of what a shark hunting boat should and would be like therefore it is.

It is hinted that the Orpheus is partly based on the boat from Jaws ("A commonly held idea for more than twenty-five years")

Orpheus is a figure in Greek mythology, he is a poet, musician, and the inventor of the lyre. His story concerning the death of Eurydite is especially relevent. Eurydite was Orpheus' wife and was killed by snakes. Orpheus went to the underworld where he played such sad music to Hades and Persephone they agreed to let Eurydice return to earth with him. The catch was that he must walk in front of her and not look back until they both reached this world. Nearing earth, he forgot and turned to look at her, she vanished again but this time forever.
